Grand View students participate in the Garden School Foundation's Seed to Table program, a holistic approach to garden-based education. We are especially lucky to be one of only five elementary schools in all of Los Angeles to have these bi-weekly classes in our campus garden and kitchen.
Ms. Katheryn takes her students on a journey of planting, harvesting, tasting and investigating as they learn key lessons in science, math, cooking and nutrition! Making recipes created by LA chefs (occasionally with bicycle-powered blender!), kids get to experience the entire "Seed to Table" cycle, gaining a keen awareness and appreciation of the food they grow and eat together.
