Gifted and Talented Education

Grand View's Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) program supports unique opportunities for high-achieving students who are identified as gifted and talented. By state definition, gifted students are those who possess a capacity for excellence far beyond that of their chronological peers. This capacity includes many and varied characteristics that require modifications of curriculum and instruction. These modifications form the basis of gifted and talented educational services.

At Grand View, opportunities are differentiated for learning that is commensurate with each gifted student's particular abilities and talents. As such, alternative learning environments may be provided so that they acquire the skills and understanding at advanced ideological and creative levels appropriate to their potential.
