5th Grade Culmination Activities
- 5th Grade Culmination Speech- Write a speech on your educational experience at Grand View. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE giving your speech aloud. Think about your teachers and school experiences throughout the years that stand out the most and what you have learned from them. Think about opportunities that you have had and will have in the future. You may write it in English or Spanish. What would your speech include?
1. Introduce yourself and welcome the audience to the culmination ceremony. You also may want to include some or all of the following...
2. Experiences at Grand View:
a. A special memory
b. An inspiring or funny story
3. Achievements at Grand View: So what did you learn? Did you learn the 3 Rs (Be Safe, Be Repectful and Be Responsible)? Did you learn to be a hard worker, a critical thinker? Did you gain good work habits? ETC.
4. Appreciation: Do you have a special teacher, mentor, or friend who helped you in a meaningful way?
5. Parents, Relatives, and Friends: Express your thanks for the ways they have helped you
6. A hopeful statement about your future, middle school, college, dreams. etc.
