Kids Heart Challenge

Our school is getting ready to kick off Kids Heart Challenge with the American Heart Association, to start a healthy 2020! This community service program teaches our students how to have HAPPY and HEALTHY hearts, challenging them to make a health pledge online (to MOVE MORE, BE KIND, and BE READY for school each day) and encouraging students to raise lifesaving donations to help fund CPR trainings and critical research to help local families with special hearts.

You can get a jump start by registering online today! Download the FREE App called Kids Heart Challenge, or visit www2.heart.org/goto/grandviewblvd to get started. Just for taking the challenge, your child will earn the FREE Kids Heart Challenge wristband – which we want everyone in the school to have!

Event Celebration: February 14th
School Goal: $15,000 in lifesaving donations!
The class with the most participation will get a Popcorn Dance Party!
The top two fundraisers in each grade will get to silly string the principal!
If we reach our school goal, we will have a schoolwide Pajama Day!

2019-20 School Experience Survey

The window for completing the 2019-2020 School Experience Survey is open. This survey is an opportunity for GV families to anonymously reflect on and gauge the quality and value of an array of Grand View Blvd.’s school experiences. The information garnered in the survey has become an essential tool for informing goals in our School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and for measuring the success we have had in the myriad ways we engage with our school community and how we encourage the engagement of others.

This week the survey is going out to all of our families; typically with the eldest sibling enrolled at Grand View. As a reminder to parents that either the paper-pencil or an Online Parent Survey is acceptable. The parent center can support parents in completing the surveys.
